What are we teaching at all?

When you plan your class, you know maybe it doesn't go as well as you think, but as least part of it should. What happens is we're dealing with people, who come from different families and who were raised by different opinions and values.  You stat talking about "interesting places" and end up teaching "how to behave in those places" because you notice they need it. That's it. Teachers have a defined role in the society, but most misanderstand this concept, and think we are the ones to teach good manner, not to say improper words, reliability, commitment, responsibility, loyalty, partnership, and so on. And I do that. Not the whole class, but somehow during it there's a time I spend trying (I say trying) to make them understand the importance of those teachings.  They may not get it all, but I'm sure I did what I was supposed to do ano more: teach for school and teach for life.
